I realize that Rice can go pretty much wherever he wants to go but does
anyone think him leaving two weeks before the season will be a red flag to interested coaches? He basically lets down the school he was playing for at the 11th hour and has to wait another year play anywhere. I guess something could work out at midterm, but if it doesn’t, he will have played very little college basketball in two years. Playing for Tech would have benefitted him but he probably wouldn’t have wanted to be here so his leaving may end up being a positive.
