Assistant coach JD Byers just tweeted « never panic!!! »
This Rodney Rice decision doesnt make sense for him and comes across as a short sighted emotional decision. This is a kid who had to sit out most of last year and missed a good deal of time this summer with mono. We probably won’t ever know all the details but seems like the frustration may have boiled over. He wants to play and has NBA aspirations. His best choice for getting there ASAP is to play this year at VT. If I had to bet on it I would say we see him back on the court at Cassell by conference play.
