Personally? I get the feeling when Neo decided on us, this comes to mind.

He found out the hard way that he didn't fit MY's offensive/defensive scheme at all. He wasn't used to being THE MAN. The engine that drove the train. It got in his head big time. The frustration was as plain as the nose on your face.
