much if leadership is poor. And it doesn't even take all of leadership being poor. Just a couple high level decision makers with the power to make bad choices can really kill things. A couple of years ago my company made a decision that was pushed by two C-level execs. Pretty much everyone else in the company thought it was a terrible idea but it didn't matter. The product was implemented and failed predictably. The two leaders left the company and we just paid several hundred thousand dollars to get out of the contract and revert to what we were doing previously. Point being there could be plenty of rank and file employees who disagree with how things are being run but are powerless to do anything about it.
