While definitely not a Hoowah fan by a long shot,
there are some financial benefits for them, and other ACC teams that we dislike, to make the NCAA tournament. The more ACC teams that make it the better the revenue distribution for the conference. The NIT participation basically is a loss leader, so to speak. The NIT allows for more games and practice, but doesn’t really help the conference revenue.
