Will be different from pre-COVID with transfers. I would look for the NCAA to be much more strident on extending transfer waivers to kids. It was certainly haphazard and random far too often before but this will be the opportunity for the NCAA to reboot and operate with strict guidelines concerning waivers moving forward. Especially this spring as this is becomes the new, post-covid ground zero on waivers. I think they will be very strict. It is like doling out punishment to your kid for missing curfew. You talk the talk but it only has teeth if you stay consistent and have consequences. I think the NCAA will initially have a fairly loud bark. Does that continue over time after the new car smell wears off? We shall see but I am not personally brimming with confidence. Their track record hardly suggests that will be the case.
