It’s insane that Miami is 31st in the NET

Their defensive efficiency must blow chunks because they’re 22-5 with 6 Q1 wins and 3-0 in Q2. I think by the end of the ACCT both Duke and Miami will be in the top 30, if that’s the case and we somehow beat them it’s 5 Q1 regular seasons with a potential 6th if Penn st goes on a run. At the other end we could really use some help from Clemson who’s sitting at 81. If they make it into the top 75 our Q2/Q3 losses to them become Q1/Q2. Unfortunately that might come at the expense of Dayton who at 74 is a Q2 win for us. Don’t get me started on the invisible line drawn at 75 where you get a Q1 win away or a Q3 loss at home based on one spot

If by some miracle we win out and end up 10-10 in conf play is it enough?
hokieinoregon 02/21/23 08:47 AM ET
At least two in the tournament. 10-10 should get us seeded ahead of the
JRHokie73 02/21/23 04:40 PM ET
The problem at this point is the number of teams on the bubble ahead of VT
mateo 02/21/23 02:28 PM ET
fwiw, there are four games remaining**
Pylons 02/21/23 03:28 PM ET
The bubble is getting softer every day..every resume will have huge holes**
VermontDDS 02/21/23 01:52 PM ET
But, once again... how many bid stealers will there be?**
No_Limit_Hokie 02/21/23 01:56 PM ET
it's impossible to set a number on wins required. Just do your best
VermontDDS 02/21/23 02:30 PM ET
They do if you lose a bad game, ask Wake last year**
soflahokie 02/21/23 03:01 PM ET
I'd lean towards no, but BC continuing to win
hoosnowahokie 02/21/23 01:18 PM ET
Every time I start thinking about this, we lay an egg, so Miami big tonight**
hokieZ71 02/21/23 01:05 PM ET
10-10 puts us at no better than the 8/9 seed game.
hokieZ71 02/21/23 01:04 PM ET
I thought the committee doesn't take in account ACC tournament wins
VT_NOVA 02/21/23 01:03 PM ET
That seems to be the conventional wisdom,
Pylons 02/21/23 01:11 PM ET
Even with that, we'd need a huge run in the ACC tournament IHMO
Zanderhokie 02/21/23 11:06 AM ET
There would be good arguments both for and against
Pylons 02/21/23 12:20 PM ET
It's possible
Pylons 02/21/23 10:37 AM ET
No. Our bad losses trump any remaining wins. Only route is ACCT victory.**
VT ChemE 1986 02/21/23 09:43 AM ET
I don't think that's the case...
GCHokie34 02/21/23 11:35 AM ET
I admire your faith, but I am not going to hold my breath :)**
VT ChemE 1986 02/21/23 12:14 PM ET
In this scenario, is Miami a Q1 win?**
No_Limit_Hokie 02/21/23 11:39 AM ET
VT currently has 3 Q1 wins...
GCHokie34 02/21/23 12:04 PM ET
False. Miami & Duke would be quality
hokiepro 02/21/23 10:31 AM ET
It’s insane that Miami is 31st in the NET
soflahokie 02/21/23 10:48 AM ET
It’s because they’ve already played 3 games vs UL and FSU
hokiepro 02/21/23 10:55 AM ET
I posted this down below, need to win out and make the semis
soflahokie 02/21/23 09:40 AM ET
If we win out, that will include 2 more Q1 wins, so maybe it would be
Hokie`79 02/21/23 09:31 AM ET
I doubt it because of our bad losses( 2 BC and GT).
mygreenbaypackers 02/21/23 09:03 AM ET
After last season's selection process, many here claim that conference
HeisenBurg13 02/21/23 08:53 AM ET
I think we’d have been put in Dayton in last 4 in on Wednesday if we’d lost

Mmm.... I dunno, pro. Sure glad we didn't have to find out!**

Every season, the question is - how many bid stealers?**
