My guess is that CMY is out hunting for a
donor right now that can help him retain Hammond. Gurdak would have been nice to keep as a back up center and continue developing his game, but he doesn’t stretch the floor right now which is what CMY would like to have. He probably was able to demand more money in other programs than we were willing to sink into him for the value he would bring next season.
