If you peruse all ACC men’s basketball schedules you will find all schools have the same issue. Each school plays two schools twice - their conference “rival” plus one other school, but don’t play one other conference member. In our case it’s Pitt.
The women’s schedule is not like that - each school plays their conference rival twice and all the other schools once.
