1. It's hard to predict the ACC Tournament because it comes down to how the bracket shakes out. I'd lean no, but it wouldn't be completely surprising. VT's only made the ACC Tournament semifinals four times, though: 2007 (L, NC State), 2008 (L, North Carolina), 2011 (L, Duke) and 2022 (W, North Carolina — and won title). Three of those were in a 12-team tournament. The other was the title run. It just feels tough to get to that stage, but again, not completely out of the ordinary. 2. Avdalas, yes. Lawal... probably not. Maybe he hits a different gear with better players around him and his stock rises through the roof, but I think he's a second-round pick at best. 3. Could see the bench being very good, yeah. There will be a lot of talent on it. Imagine if it's Jailen Bedford, Izaiah Pasha, Jaden Schutt and Antonio Dorn coming off the bench (with Hammond, Johnson and Avdalas starting). I feel like that's a pretty solid group. I also haven't seen the group play yet, though. Might have a better feel on that after Saturday's exhibition.
