My guess is that he doesn’t get respect in the opposing team’s scout. Not enough on tape to warrant targeted attention; however, his game has dramatically improved. He’s begun to utilize his height and his girth. Wessler is NOT a slim 5 like he was when he arrived here. He’s drastically improved his already competent post moves and has learned-perhaps from Poteet-patience. Today, we saw his court vision on display. He’s improved (still much work to do) his defensive positioning and recognition thanks to regular playing time in real games. More work in weight room and a focus on body/foot speed are paramount going forward, but I really like his upside and his competitive fire.
