Yes, a big name like that will probably cost us a few recruits.

Outside of that, I don't think it's a big deal. He won't be there long, He's just setting up a future for his son. And he has no experience with and is not prepared for managing college players. I think he's there to do the Deon Sanders thing, use your celebrity status along with a big budget to bring in talented recruits. It will work to some degree. But it's going to require some adjustments by belichick and I think he's too old and set in his ways to produce great success. My bigger concern is whether or not UNC is willing to continue the huge financial investment in football after he's gone. Of course if they do that would be good for the ACC, and maybe it will pressure Virginia Tech to step up their financial commitment.
