If CMY was telling Collins to accept a lesser role next season, that is the role he would have in mind for a player like Brown Jr. I hope Brown Jr. can provide enough offense to make up for defense lost as he will likely be a downgrade in Collins’ defense at this stage of his development. But, hopefully in that lesser role as a rotational piece rather than a starter. He does appear to be more of a pure shooter than Collins, and is 6’6”, with a wing span of 6’10” so would seem to have a higher ceiling. Unfortunately that upside doesn’t translate for us as his developer if we assume he leaves again after one season to colllect on his new worth.
