He is winning. But to win more, he really just needs more time

The past two years were impacted by injuries/absences of projected contributors. Remember that this is a guy who won at Wofford...against ACC teams. He can win despite the shortcomings of VT facilities/money/amenities as outlined by GC below. Of course more of everything would help him do more and do it faster. But even if none of the other stuff improves, we know he can win if he can play with the full roster that he builds in the offseason. It really helps to keep perspective on the CMY tenure. Year 1: just basic survival with the pieces Buzz left and recruiting was very last minute Year 2: covid year with all kinds of crazy but had a winning ACC and overall record Year 3: won the ACC and got NCAA auto bid Year 4: injury bug in middle of season when a team is normally starting to gel. At various points we didn't have Cattoor, Maddox, and Rice. Year 5: lose Rice right before season, various in season injuries to Cattoor, Pedulla, BR, and Long. Honestly I think VT is close to being really solid. It's just the last two years have been a bit wild with the injuries and loss of Rice and Maddox. With some stability we should see steady improvement over the coming years.
