was possible, Caleb Strawhecker from D2 West Chester University committed to VT yesterday.
He is a Left-Handed Hitting catcher who is a rising junior that self-reported the following awards and stats:
-2025 PSAC Freshman of the year
-2026 First Team All-PSAC, Atlantic Region NCBWA, National Runner-up
Career Stats: 103 Games, 309 ABs
.337 AVG, .458 OBP, .560 SLG, 104 hits, 13 HR, 96 R, 76 RBI, 64 BB
He fills the need we had for a catcher with experience that could compete for the starting job.

Seems he is on the roster for the High Point Thomasville HiToms. I hope he gets plenty of work there. Will be good to get him comfortable with higher level of competition and COPL is probably as good as it gets for competition behind the Cape.

he has played in 3 games thus far. He's off to a slow start (1-for-11) but he had his one hit and two rbi's in his last game on 6/24. Obviously a very small sample size but with CJ Oxendine also playing in the COPL this summer, we should have a decent comparison between the two going into next season.
