That game ending DP, I think we’d have been better laying down a sac bunt

Absolute worst case scenario is they get the lead runner (highly unlikely) and you still have guys on 1st and 2nd, with your best hitter coming up. More likely case is you have guys on 2nd and 3rd, with your best hitter coming up. Best case is they bungle it (not far fetched in college ball) and you have bases loaded, 1 out, best hitter coming up. The one thing you absolutely positively cannot do…..is ground into a double play. And the odds are not that low of it actually happening. Lay down the bunt, see what happens, and put the game on the line with your best hitter. Let those chips fall where they may. And it never should’ve come to this anyway, we legit could’ve won this 1-0 without the awful throwing errors.
