Below are stats and a few highlights from the last three days of summer league action for VT players. -- Carrington Aaron: Continued his hot hitting with two multi-hit games and extending his summer-long hitting streak to 10 games. For the summer, he is batting .405 with a .954 OPS. -- Eddie Eisert: He has cooled off slightly but did have his first home run of the season on 6/20 which was the only run in his team’s 1-0 victory. Overall, he continues to be an important piece of the Sanford team with a .911 OPS and 7 extra-base hits. -- Nick Locurto: He had a hit in each of his last three games including a total of two doubles and one game where he had three hits. In the six games he has played in this summer, he has hit .389 with a 1.042 OPS. -- Sam Tackett: On 6/22, went 2 for 3 with a home run, 2 RBI, 2 walks and 3 runs scored. He continues to be one of the standouts on the summer for VT where he leads all of our players with 4 home runs, 9 RBI’s, 10 runs scored and 5 stolen bases. -- Griffin Stieg: Had his best outing of the summer, getting a win while pitching 3.0 innings and allowing no runs on 3 hits, 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. -- Andrew Sentlinger: Had a very rough outing on 6/22 giving up 9 hits and 7 runs (all earned) in just 1.1 innings of work.
