comical has everything to do with the actual thought and nothing to do with whatever background in baseball you might have. Anybody that follows collegiate baseball with any regularity understands the midweek challenge. As far as conference game importance goes that depends in large part on the conference. A win for Radford over an ACC opponent likely carries more weight than any conference loss they suffer. For VT, it is the opposite, a loss to Radford does tremendous damage that likely takes multiple conference wins to overcome.
