Elbin mentioned Davis' elite speed but also his power and him being one of our HR leaders this fall. When discussing Gibson, he mentioned his defensive versatility and the likelihood of him playing multiple spots so I think we'll see Davis begin the season as our starting 2B and see how he does from a productivity standpoint. Also good to see the comments about Kirtley. He struggled mightily with hitting in summer league play so Szefc's comments about speed of the game and pitching caliber make sense. His defense and athleticism are intriguing so hopefully he can get acclimated to the college game as a reserve this year and potentially slide in at SS in 2026 if Clay Grady gets drafted.
