Crowl did a nice job to get out of the jam from Exum but the two walks from Craytor were the obvious back-breakers. I thought Sentlinger might have a shot to work out of it after getting Burress to pop up but he grooved an 0-2 fastball for a hit and then got a bit unlucky on a hit against a decent off-speed pitch. Unfortunately I think Craytor is probably going to be up-and-down from a command perspective. If he's throwing strikes, he'll be fine but he'll probably also have some outings like this where he throws only 5 strikes in 16 pitches. Also, a little disappointed in the offense. Just 4 hits and 3 runs isn't going to cut it so hopefully they can figure things out and rebound in the next two games. GT's Saturday and Sunday starters have struggled a bit with control so hopefully we can mix in more walks the rest of the weekend. And hats off to Patel of GT. He pitched on Tuesday of this week throwing 40 pitches and comes in today and goes 4.2 innings of hitless ball and allows just one walk. He had made only 1 weekend appearance this year and with him throwing earlier this week I didn't think we would see him but they clearly got a lot out of him this week.
