Great overview, thanks for sharing! Good to hear about Treyson Hughes...

between Watson, Hughes, Cherry and Pittman...we should have a quality outfield with a good blend of contact, plate discipline, power, speed and positional versatility. I am hoping Lewis can prove serviceable with his glove at 3B because he should definitely be a plus with his right-handed power at the plate. Did the article mention anything about the battle at 2B between Gibson and Davis? That seems to be about the only question mark with hitting/fielding. As it seems about every year, pitching will be the x-factor and determine whether we can make another NCAA run. It is a little concerning with how many pitchers were limited to some degree this fall with injuries but hopefully some of that was just precautionary. Our pitching outlook would have been far better with Stieg as an option but hopefully we can find success with some of the transfers and one or two true freshmen.

Thanks! The Davis/Gibson comments seem to line up with Elbin's interview..

We definitely need right-handed power hitters to take advantage of the wind
