Overall, not too many surprises, but here are a few things I noticed: - Grant Manning appears to be returning. Definitely a nice boost for the pitching staff. - Sam Tackett appears to be returning. The outfield is pretty crowded but maybe he could factor in the competition at 3B. - As VawterTech reported, it does in fact appear Jordan Vera is transferring as he is not on the roster. - Carson Ohl is not on the roster. He pitched this summer and had VT listed as his school, so thought there might be a possibility of him returning. - Cade Drohan is a new name to me at RHP. Looking at Twitter/X, it appears he actually committed to VT back in October of 2023. He is a JUCO guy that had decent stats (3.92 ERA, 1.34 WHIP) this past year in 13 starts. - Parker Sweeney is a LHP/OF that I think was initially in the 2024 class but reclassified at some point and was most recently considered a 2025 recruit but appears he has made his way to Blacksburg with the 2024 class. - Seth Way was a 2024 RHP commitment that doesn't appear on the roster so I assume he got caught up in the numbers game.
