New head coach and lots of roster turnover from last year...
Not sure if injuries are a factor but looking at a number of preseason previews, they had 20 newcomers this year and just 4 returning starters with just 3 position players returning with 20+ starts and just one starting pitcher returning and just 4 pitchers overall that appeared in more than 2 games in 2023.
