I recently lost a family member and they generously had me listed as a beneficiary on an IRA. Been thinking it through and I am probably about 6 to 7 years from taking an early retirement, prior to this inheritance. My question, If I elect to move all of the money to an Inherited IRA, wouldn't the smart move be to leave the money in the Inherited IRA and only take whatever RMDs (which I need to determine if I MUST take). To my understanding, you have 10 years to exhaust the inherited IRA. My thought, is that I take as little as possible out for 6 years, so I don't change my tax bracket. So, if I "retire" in 6 years, I will then have zero income from my job, thus LOWERING my taxable income and my tax "bracket". So for now, take out only the minimums that I will have to add to my normal income and pay taxes. Then only after retiring take bigger amounts to exhaust and claim as income the remainder of the IRA. Does that sound like a reasonable approach?

My brother in-law is bring my nephew to tour Tech and school of Architecture. They asked for a recommendation on where to eat.
