Or you grow some balls, take a chance, and give an unproven coach like Michael Vick a try and they probably will. He's the clear answer here. Hiring these crazy expensive coaches from smaller schools is very clearly not the answer. We've spent a ton of money to find out that it doesn't work for us. The fact that Whit let any school other than ours hire him for $400k a year should have been grounds for immediate termination.

I'm just a Tech alumni who also happens to be a business owner. I understand that if you start losing customers, you figure out why and fix it. If business is at max capacity, you spend less time figuring out how to attract customers. Football is a business. It's that simple.

As much as I hate UVA, I'm starting to think they have smarter fans. Their fans are tired of their lousy football program so they've stopped buying tickets. Just look at the stands during any game. Ultimately money is what matters. On the other hand, VT fans complain that they are tired of the program, but they still show up in masses and cause every game to be a sell out. What incentive does VT have to make any changes? Absolutely none. They couldn't sell anymore tickets if they wanted to. If you want change, this isn't how you get it.
