The 1980's and early/mid 1990's Roanoke was an incredible basketball area
that's not including the 81 corridor which if you did you are talking Ralph Sampson, Dell Curry, Kevin Madden and Michael Porter all McDonalds All-Americans. To many to name but Curtis Staples and Richard Morgan for Roanoke would be in there as well but again there are numerous other D1 players that came out then. Since then there hasen't been much except for Reddick and Hancock.
