My excitement for this team and program just got ratcheted up to a higher level.

for Chip or Mr William Floyd or anyone who has knowledge of the college softball rules. With Payton List arriving for next season and with her terrific pitching and hitting stats from high school and travel ball it's likely she will be in the pitching rotation when the season begins. With Coach Pete's history of not allowing his pitchers to bat here's my question. If Payton, or any one of our pitchers are not in the batting lineup but is the starting pitcher for that game, can that pitcher come in as a pinch hitter? And if so, can that pitcher continue pitching after her pinch hitting role? Just wondering as it would be cool to see one or more of our pitchers, if their hitting ability warrants, being given the chance to bat

maybe VT coaches should consider inserting Alexa Milius at third and then letting Bre Peck be the DP when UF starts a left handed pitcher and let Mer Slaw be the DP when a right handed pitcher is the UF starter. Would like to hear your comments as to this idea.

It seems that Coach D has made an awful lot of correct decisions this year. Been thinking it would be very interesting to see what the accumulated batting average and other hitting stats are for the ladies this year in just their pinch hitting rolls. Is this a stat that is kept or can be calculated? Chip, what can you provide on this? Thanks for all you do to make this softball board so much fun for the rest of us Hokie softball fans!
