Proud of how this program has grown and flourished. Never posted about this but the women’s team got started in the ‘72- ‘74 seasons as a club team. 5-7 women with the help of a sponsor ( grad student ) started working out and paid their own way to a few meets each year (outdoors only). They worked hard and several of us on the men’s team stayed after practice and coached, encouraged, and supported them as best we could. It was the beginning of the the women’s track and field team. So proud for what they created but success was still years away!!
