David Wilson, Ryan Williams and Darren Evans on the same team at RB?!?! And Tyrod Taylor at QB ands great WRs and line???

Almost makes you wonder if someone
Is on the take, to essentially blatantly give away 2 sure wins due to ineptness (especially coaching decisions) at the very end. Stupid losses don’t make you better.

Switched at the half to watch women’s VB… how’d FSU blow the game open?
Weren’t we just down by 10-7 at the half?
On a better note, Cal Poly SLO’s girls beat Hawaii in 3-straight sets to finish 14-0 at home! Sadly my new fav team to watch with my son going there… yes, I’m beyond apathetic with our VT team. Did we really try to lose to ensure Franklin doesn’t go to FSU?!?!

I’ve been there for like 10 years… still follow loosely but won’t ruin any
More Saturdays getting psyched up and disappointed watching Hokies get seemingly worse and worse with each passing year.
Even when we had struggling teams in the 80s, we would NEVER lose to Wake at Lane! The facts that Drones doesn’t get taken out doesn’t reflect well on our team depth.
Hate to think or say it, but hard to see another win on our schedule this season. This one was it, favored and at home. Won’t be any more of those this year.
Sad state of affairs… the only good news is our upside potential is far greater than our downside! 😜

So honestly I’m not aligned with the team quitting…
We’re just a weak, undersized, undisciplined team (4-5 PFs in1st half is a joke) that’s awful in the trenches on both sides of the ball, with an inept head whistle and possibly the worst QB in VT history.
I see guys trying, they’re just not coached up well enough to matter and too manyuntimely mistakes. Just a total cluster.
Must clean house now, as much as generally I think that’s nearly always the wrong thing to do mid season… at this point, actions now are for next season!

Hate to say this folks… this problem is way bigger than Drones
We have good punter and FG kicker… exceptionally overmatched in trenches on both sides of the ball and weak secondary, coaching unable to get the right plays called at the right times and get us in the right defensive formations. All around Mess.
Been watching since my freshman year in 1984 and this is the worst I’ve seen. Even in those early Beamer 2-9 kinda years, we were always tough and well coached. This is abysmal.

ODU gives up 225 yds/game rushing… so let’s pass it, LOL
Then again, our O-Line is SO bad, we can’t pass protect or rush well enough to beat anyone unless that group improves a lot.

I’m not sure we gave up per se…
We were getting crushed in the trenches on both sides of the ball since the 1st quarter, and I just think by the 4th quarter, our guys were pounded into submission.
Same thing that happened against SC… couldn’t hang for 4 quarters.
Our team looked small and weak overall compared to Vandy… lots of $$$ in the SEC teams to buy better, stronger, bigger athletes.
Why on earth did we schedule to start the year with 2-straight SEC teams? Whoever scheduled that needs walking papers!

Yep, we all saw it... hate to blame a loss on 1 guy, but...
just far too may missed wide-open receivers where the play call was perfect, but the QB execution was not.

agree, 2nd season in a row we've heard so much hype
that just wasn't delivered on... a couple of drops (but SC had some as well).
Bottom line is too may bad deliveries at key points when we needed conversions... won't cut it, just has to be better for a 5th year player. Hoping he can turn it around next game... otherwise, might need to give QB2 some reps.

Just finished watching...
Glad to see the D is pretty solid overall... however too many missed tackles allowing big plays on D and STs. Gotta fix that as you don't want to see a great overall D effort ruined by a couple missed tackles.
On O, Drones sadly just was not good enough... great effort by our WRs and pretty good RB effort. But at the end of the day, KD just missed too many wide open guys at key times. Can't win close games when you don't connect on some of those.
ST -- great to see the deep KOs and 56-yd FG, but that punt return in the 4th qtr was a killer. We got Beamerballed at the end despite overall really solid ST play. Just like the D... solid 95% of the time, but key misses in the other 5% led to 2 TDs.

Just looked over the schedule…
And hard to see how we do better than 3-9… Marshall on the road and Syracuse at home are the only 2 that I’d bet on as Ws. Sadly, it would not completely shock me if we won no more, but expect to get at least 1 more.
Wow, hard to be a Hokie fan these days, sheesh…complete failure to address winning first in the trenches. Until we get some hogs, we’re gonna struggle.

Wanted to enter the FB fan portal and transfer to OSU-w…
Where I dropped off my daughter for freshman year 2 weeks ago, but watched them lose a heartbreaker they probably should’ve won to USC-w last week, and saw they also got stomped today at Utah. Now I’m not sure…
So glad I spent my Saturday doing more important things… from the stats I saw and comments on here, sounded abysmal.
To make matters worse, I’m on day 6 of a 9-day cleanse my wife wanted to do, so can’t even have a drink while catching up on this mess of a game…

Supporting the Hokies for 38 years, and…
One thing’s for sure… I know this isn’t an opponent to light everyone’s fire, but even the bad teams in the Dooley and early Beamer years would never have lost to ODU twice in a couple years. There was always fight and determination in those teams even when talent was lacking.
Shocking to see how far down our overall talent level has fallen… and the general lack of passion and want-to all around is extremely un-Hokie-like!
Will be supporting as always, but buckling up for a bumpy ride…

Wow, just wow… after the off-season excitement
hard to imagine a more embarrassing opening loss for our Hokies and CBP than tonight.
ODU is dreadful and we failed again to win.
Excessive unforced errors.
A team lacking confidence, skill, and discipline.
It continues to be SO very hard to be a VT football fan after years of disappointment.
Feel bad for the new coach… can you imagine this was his worst nightmare scenario come true!
