PSU fan here. I recall being laughed at when I criticized the Pry hire. I told you that they collapsed defensively against good teams. I told you to watch 2021 IL game but VT fans thought I was 'bitter" losing such a key coach. Mark my words..you will regret Franklin as well. He had keys to kingdom at a blue blood program. No expense spared for OC and DC etc yet he failed when it mattered most. He is blind to his own weaknesses - chasing OCs as blame, sticking to mediocre players like Allar (who should have been benched), bad instincts which other coaches see on film, too much fluff and no toughness. Sure, I have no doubt that he will get you to 8w-9w in weaker ACC but you will sour eventually. I give it 5 years. He will suprise with good year by second season but as expectations rise, you will be disappointed. Take PSU's word. I am laughing at statements like 'he beat a great SMU team'. They would have been nothing in BT and played Dec in Happy Valley. He can beat less talented teams.
