Who? I only see G and F on the roster mgmt page. Serious question.
Do we have a true Center? We really need two in case of injury to the starter.
Need to have at least one in case your guard heavy team meets a team with a big Center. Gotta be able to stop that on D. Then you have a shot at a decent tourney run. Get two and you have depth to make another Final 4 run. It does not happen without it.

Having a Center on staff helps. We are very guard heavy for obvious reasons
Would not be surprised if it helps in recruiting

I am noob, so forgive my dumb question...
...but did we really drop from 7th to 8th after beating a top 10 program soundly?NC State is showing as 0-0, but appears to have jumped us. How? Is there something I am missing?
I know it is too early to matter, but...

Just because you have a right to do something...
Doesn't make it the best option.
"They should have thicker skin" is another one I have heard about recruits, which is missing the point.

I have had the same feeling on Georgia. Also no insider.
I think she fulfills her dream to play in the WNBA. I am not sure NIL $ will keep her from it. "Basketball is life" she said in a recent interview and she lives that. I think she just wants to play on the highest level, regardless of $$.
I have also noticed past tense speech about Blacksburg in interviews. It is always very positive, but recently I feel like I hear a lot more "I've loved" and "I'll miss"...rather than forward looking statements. (i.e. more about what they've built...rather than what she is building)
That is perfectly OK though. She has given more than enough of herself to this program and I would not blame her one bit. I just HOPE she is still building and wants to see this thing through next year too. That would be awesome...and more lucrative for her.

Both of you are correct. She was not in long enough...
...and she was ineffective. She played for 6 minutes and had zero stats. No rebounds, assists, shots, blocks, etc.
Neither thing is OK. She needs more minutes, but can't go 0-for-six minutes when she does.
Strack only played 2 minutes and was also blanked.
They need to both be more assertive. Strack was pushed out for rebounds by NC State's 3rd string Center and was quickly sat down. Rose had similar luck, but for slightly longer and had to sit.
My 2 cents

Looks like she played 16 minutes with 4 pts and 3 rebounds
She seems OK. Why do you feel bad for her?

ESPN shows that Rose gets 17 mins per game...
...which is more than Baker (10.9), Strack (9.7), and Summiel (16.4). đ¤ˇââī¸ I personally think Strack at 9.7 is too low. However, KB most likely knows better than either of us, so I will let it play out. I trust he will situationally play the right people at the right times.

In the women's game...
When their star player Jackson got her 4th foul she started crying (the announcers said it was her birthday, which is sad for her)...but then the refs met at midcourt to talk about it. I thought that was wild. One ref cleary pointed to her and said "she's crying".
Hopefully it was a "keep calling the game fairly" talk, but we got some phantom calls against us right afterward, so I am not convinced. One on Carleigh was particularly bad, as she seemed to be trying to avoid all contact on that particular play, but got called.
I am not saying the refs impacted the game, but that meeting at midcourt followed by some odd calls on us had me a bit frustrated. With that said, I am sure the Jayhawks think Jackson was being picked on. She picked up fouls quicker than almost anyone I have ever seen. Played very little.

Glad we got the win...
Surprised by a couple of things:
1) Strack only played 1 minute. Expected more after her results in other games.
2) I bet it will be a while before Amoore has another 9 turnover game. Uncharacteristic of her.
Some pretty bad calls by the officials tonight too. They struggled.

Georgia is just the best.
She is one of my all-time favorite Hokies in any sport. I have yet to see her be "contained" by someone.

I don't continue to support people...
...that actively cheer against their own team and clap for LSU while still on OUR team's bench. I hope she never hits another shot.

For both teams...
It will boil down to whether the incoming players gel well together with the current rosters. Simply put, do they work well with each other? Even the teams with stars can fall apart if the players don't get along. That could happen to either team...or neither team. I just think the egos of Reese and Van Lith with be something to watch. Could be great chemistry...could blow up at each other publicly. I am just excited to see Georgia, Liz and crew for another year.

Found this clip from a couple years ago...
I like all of the pick-ups from the portal so far.

I hope he does.
If he doesn't make that mistake again, then it means he isn't taking chances on people. I don't want that kind of turtle in his shell coach either. I hope he makes that mistake again, but hits on more transfers than he misses on...by a large margin. He is never gonna be perfect, but you have to take chances to have success.

Tennessee was so much longer. Their press was much more effective.
Amoore just ran right through tOSU's press and Kitley was just there waiting. Awesome job by this team.
