the fact that VT has a close association with the BTAA. The CIC rebranded itself in 2016, and in all of that time, VT is the only non-B1G university that has consistently remained there... And before someone says the BTAA has nothing to do with sports, I can only say "horsepucky;" it has everything to do with B1G's communication network, including the BTN.
