Posting History (593)

Folks I'm not rehashing if we ducked JMU or not, I simply wanted to know...

...WHO would have been the opener, if JMU was there and VMI was not. This is a factual question!!! I think it probably would have been ODU. ** Edited by PennHokie at 7/21/2026, 1:50:58 PM

So IF we did not cancel the JMU game in place of VMI...

...JMU would still NOT have been the opener? Is that correct? Rick Watson on BDST this morning suggested that JMU would have been the opener, and that we wanted to duck them. However, wasn't the JMU date already set, making ODU the opener IF we had canceled VMI instead?

Great presence from coach and the players!!

Quick question from the press conference... I noticed that safety Tyson Flowers would wait to answer a question for a few seconds. He is VERY well spoken! But was he just waiting and getting his thoughts together, or does he have a hearing impediment? Just wondering. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing! I only wish our small time Ath. Dept. could post....

videos like this (post-game press conferences) on YouTube within 18 hours! Just did a search for UVA, and they had theirs on YouTube within 2 hours after losing. And many other schools that played today are posted already too, including FSU who lost. Ours...either is the next day or not at all. It is this way with WBB and MBB too...but of course not football who have a multitude of videos on the Hokie Sport YT channel. I can't wait for a whole new regime in our atheltic department to get in there and use social media/publicity/marketing for their advantage! Whit and his whole operation is so small-time.

No matter how they finishedâ€Ļin my 37 years since I was a freshman at VTâ€Ļ

This was one of my top 5 favorite VT teams to cheer on in any sport!! Thanks ladies for giving us all an enjoyable sports season after the disappointment of VT football this year (and thanks to your devoted families)!! And thanks to the 5 super seniorsâ€Ļwe’ll miss you!

On another positive note, barring a transfer, the core of our teamâ€Ļ

Is coming back stronger next year!! Regardless of what the Jack—- is spouting off on TV
