Yeah, its probably a long shot, but we can hope.
We need every little bit to try and make our case. They play pitt next, so maybe they can beat up on them and improve metrics to jump up

Really proud of this team.
After all the negativity for the past couple weeks, really great to see them put together a solid full game performance. Lets hope its the start of a solid end of season run!

How is losing a game where you are up 4, with the ball, with 7 seconds left
not a wasted opportunity? Or being up 10 with 2 mins left and blowing the lead? Those are both games with 90+% chance of winning. As a frequent bubble team, those are games we really need to put away.
Im still of the opinion we are more likely to make the tournament than not, but those 2 games really hurt our chances.

The frustrating part is that we are about 15 seconds away from being
a top 4 team in the ACC and basically a tournament lock. We still have plenty of chances to improve the resume and are in a decent position, but many wasted opportunities.

Neo hasnt checked out, there is something mentally there with his shooting.
A week off may do him some good to try and reset.
This team definitely passes the eye test as a tournament team to me, we are just missing a little something right now (tyler johnson back to his normal self) and i think we can go on a run.
At this point i think we can get by without neo taking another shot, just give us a handful of assists a game and give mediocre defensive effort.

A chance yes...
I dont think anyone is saying we should be favored or anything, but I believe we are 5-2 in our last 7 against duke at home, and there were several very good duke teams in there.

Whats frustrating to me is not even the shooting percentage
He just seems to play so passive.
He scores what seems like the quietest 14 ppg. I mean I will take a quiet 14 ppg all day, but there is so much more there for him.
When he attacks the basket, things really seem to come easy, I wish he would do it more.

I would have to go back and watch...
But I am almost positive as soon as he switched to the 4, he got torched 2-3 straight possessions. Not sure how much he really helped there.

I absolutely feel this right now
I am so mentally defeated after the past 2 weeks. I don't know how the players keep their head up, I feel like we are cursed in the final 2 mins of games.

Other than the 2 games in the Bahamas
We have either won, or been within one possession. Im not sure how much more you can ask for with how disjointed our lineups have been. And I wouldnt say our offense has been overly efficient or carrying us thru those games.
Did we collapse in the Stanford game in terrible fashion, sure, but it was still very much a winnable game, and defense played well for 37-38 of those minutes.

The last few games defensively
we have really been torched by score first PGs, Ames, Okorie, Calamese. I would definitely be concerned if Boopie Miller plays (for our sake hoping is still feeling the effects of the flu).

If you are on hulu, make sure you arent watching accx.
If you switch to the broadcast on acc network, the music goes away. At least did for me

A little early to worry on the NET
Granted, it would have been nice to have won against VCU, but i think otherwise we have won the games we should have. Win at SC and against GMU and we should be in a fine spot. Looks like we should have as many as 8 quad 1 opportunities on the road. Steal a couple of those and we are in good shape. Obviously still work to do, but I dont think we are in much of a hole yet.

Always seems to be in the right place, making plays, hustling. Even if he goes thru cold spells shooting, not afraid to take the right shots and seems to get better as the game goes on.

First NET Rankings...Ouch
From the looks of it, VT is the lowest ranked power 5 team at 233. ACC not looking great as a whole either. VT, GT, BC, Miami, Syracuse all sub 150.
