Agreed, but the original point still stands. That’s two straight years

VT has lost a key player close to the season opener. Just unfortunate to be in this situation again.

Still have Tyler Nickel, Jaydon Young, Patrick Wessler, and Brandon

Rechsteiner. Does Poteat still have eligibility left? ** Edited by MV Trumpet at 3/27/2024, 3:56:06 PM

Most enjoyable game of the season

This team dropping a 30-burger on those bums in basketball as the crowd chants “Just Like Football” is an all time Hokie memory.

Anyone know why Rose Micheaux isn’t in the rotation?

Someone on another board said David Cunningham explained why in the WBB message board but I can’t seem to find it.

I think they’re just making the point that despite playing a 3OT game,

Seton-Creighton’s combined turnovers were still less than what we had by ourselves.

Didn’t like the turnovers but not really mad about this one,

they did as well as could be expected minus Cattoor ** Edited by MV Trumpet at 1/14/2024, 1:38:00 AM

Losing to a team that got beat by Lipscomb feels a lot worse than a Q2 loss

Our other losses (South Carolina, Auburn, FAU, and Wake Forest) have at least demonstrated that they are high quality opponents. Had it not been for FSU weathering the same type of scoring droughts that plagued us, this would have been another blowout loss. If we can’t beat this FSU team, they how can expect to compete against the more high-powered ACC offenses coming up on our schedule? I don’t know how much Rodney Rice would’ve helped but the offense has looked disjointed throughout the season. For the third year in a row, VT has started ACC play poorly (last year was obviously exacerbated by Cattoor’s injury); I worry the team is digging themselves into hole that they won’t be able to claw out of come March.
