I'm hearing the entire focus during the delay was on how to
make a fool of Sacramento Hokie. The team voted and decided that 3 homers and 9 RBIs from Chatfield would do the job.

VT challenge on last UVA run was wrong
The challenge should have been that the runner left second early. She left before Mazz let go of the ball. Anyone else see this?

Rooting for him but totally agree
Not sure where his game fits in the NBA. He is not a very good shooter - 29.7% from 3PT, 39.8% FG, and 68.4% FT. He is not quick and isn't a great defender. I was hoping he would take over games but Providence is the only time I can think of. He has only scored 20 points in 3 out of 20 games and been under 10 in 6 games. Hoping he can get in the zone for the rest of the year.

Like spitting into the wind
Trying to have a conversation/debate with the knucklehead haters is useless. You can't change them. They are a small minority - just ignore them. Most of the posters appreciate the players and are empathetic when their best is just not enough to win. That's sports - 50% of the games are lost. The Duke game was hard to watch - unfortunately the players are going to have to see it again in order to improve. As long as the effort is there, I'll support and respect the players.

Too bad the announcers are so clueless
Catcher has a right to catch the ball even if pulls them onto the base line.

Earl Weaver was the master
In this situation he would run out and kick dirt on the plate from all angles for about 30 seconds. Then he would get right up in the umps face and yell at him while pecking him with the bill of his hat. Next he would turn his hat around and get his face right up against the umps face. More yelling but this time he would sputter while he yelled which hit the umps face with a light mist of spittle. Then another 30 seconds of plate dusting. And for the most egregious situations, a shredding of the rule book with little pieces of paper covering home plate.
