Yep, the team was slightly above average but not good, IMHO, falling...
well short of the hype. One that I would say under achieved a bit given their talent.

it's difficult to match UVA's physicality because ..........
we will be called for fouls whereas they seem to get the Duke treatment.

Agree, can always use more shooters but
point is well taken, based on returning offense, compared to what we loose.

You can say one was a heave but the other was a good shot.......
I am nt disagreeing with your analysis providing that that was a decision made by the coaching staff based on 3 pt. shooting percentage for that Cal guard. If she shot a decent percentage and knowing that hitting several 3 point shot would allow them to catch up, plus they were playing a home etc. all these things considered you still contend not defending the 3 point line made sense.

Point taken, however my post referred to very late in the game when.....
their guard hit two 3pt shots (one was a bank shot) while they were desperately try to close the gap. Sure if you look at the stats for the game we defended well but you are ignoring the context or game circumstances when I made this post.
