Stieg throws a lot of pitches, a lot of balls, a lot of 3-2 counts. His fast ball is his go to pitch but his off speed pitches are problematic. Same thing last year. He should have at least one reliable off speed pitch for strikes, better two or more. Less pitches longer time on the mound. Doesn’t seem they’ve worked on that.

Totally agree Irish Hokie. If they start well they usually do o.k. but if they get hit early their confidence seems to disappear. I’m new at this and I don’t know a lot about the Coaches but it does seem with the new Pitching Lab we should be seeing improvement. And the other thing is the competition has gotten tougher now and they seem to be intimidated. That’s where the head needs to change.
