Miami win would have been bad for ACC

Some thought that a Miami win would have helped to preserve ACC independence (or existence). But in reality it would have just made Miami a plumper target for the SEC or whoever came to scavenge the ACC.

I wondered about that as well,

but the ref was right there on the line so I assumed that the ball broke the plane before his knees hit the ground. UVA did not dispute it. I have noticed Tuten doing that several times this year on long runs. NFL scouts will likely notice it as well. At the NFL level, there will be many DBs who can catch him.

Clemson 99

I watched highlights of the Clemson game in 99 (2nd or 3rd game of season). Mike Vick threw 3 interceptions, got sacked at least 3 times, and rushed for few yards. Stith ran well but didn't blow anybody away, and fumbled at least once. The defense created 3 turnovers which resulted in at least 14 points and sealed the game. Hokies not impressive at all. Clemson offense actually looked better except for the turnovers at key times. This team is not that team by a long shot but even that team had problems.
