Shame we didn't get Cignetti, incredible job at Indiana, currently
boat racing Illinois. Incredible coach and talent evaluator to have Indiana in this spot again. His team plays with purpose, discipline, intelligence, technique, execution and heart, everything we wish we had in Blacksburg and he was just down the road at JMU, sigh.

What exactly did you expect, the top players left for the NFL or SEC
and we back filled with non equivalent players in the portal. They are doing their best but an upgrade is needed. Not to mention recruiting has not picked up, we still lose out on the top talent.

Recruiting is not good, no top 20 classes, there is a talent
gap, our best players leave for the sec and we backfill with less talent, this is the result. Bring whatever coach you want in, they still lose because we can't complete a forward pass.

Can't run block, haven't for last 10 years, maybe more, very frustrating
Not sure if its the players or coaches, or perhaps both. We can't seem to retain the o-line coach for more than a year.
Both lines needs a huge upgrade, or more of the same.

Not very good last year, thought maybe we found...
a qb and it would be slightly better, apparently not. Won't be fixed until Pry turns things around on the recruiting front and don't see that happening....yet.
