Sad state of affairs, but there is hope
VA Tech has fallen to number 5 in the state behind UVA, JMU, Old Dominion and Liberty. Four years ago I would not have
thought this possible. However, hope is on the horizon. Next year we will have a new coach and more importantly a new quarterback. Both will be improvements. Not sure where this will put us on the ladder, but pretty it will not be number 5.

With all the big jobs open, how come his name is not mentioned for any of them? I'll tell you. Nobody wants him. He is the last thing VA Tech needs.

Beamer is not what we need. We need a fresh start and a run of the mill coach just will not work.

Couple of thoughts....
Just a few thoughts from an old Hokie (1971 Graduate).
Whit Babcock and John Ballein need to be removed immediately. They are like a cancer in the Athletic Dept. Their reputations put a limit on the number of qualified candidates for our football coaching position.
We need to hire the best coach available and not penny pinch on the hire.
Please stop all the talk about Shane Beamer. If he was not Frank's son, he would not get a second look. That Beamer train has left the station.

Just another one for the Tech record book. It is full of these types of defeats. Both Emma's were left in too long. Hard for me to believe we don't have a pitcher that can throw a strike. 13 walks and a hit batter will ruin even the best teams.

I'll still pull for Tech, but
Until changes occur (most can guess what they are), I am changing my ways. No more season tickets and no more donations. The current football and basketball products are just not worth it. And no, I will not be in the stands next Saturday night. Call me a fair-weather fan, I donât care. I have seen enough sloppy play and poor coaching to last me a life time.

We are getting what we hired,,,,,,
Sure Pry is a nice guy. Fun to be around and chat with, but that does not make him a head football coach. He was not all that great a coach at Penn State. Just average. Why should we expect excellence from an average assistant coach and a bunch of unproven coordinators? The situation is what it is, so you might as well get used to it, It is going to be with us for several more years. Tech administration is full of too many nice guys to do anything about it.

I'm done. No more season tickets for me. I've had them for 50 years, but no more, The product is not worth the expense and the unprofessional dealing with the athletic administration has sent me packing.

Crappy coaching
I don't care whether we win or loose, we needed to try to win the game at the end of the 4th quarter. Wasting 30 seconds and three time outs is beyond belief. W got what we deserve. Pry is no head coach! I think we have won our last game this year.

I'm done....Flip me over.
I have had 4 season tickets for many years This year it cost me over $5000 just for the right to buy tickets. I need to have my head examined for spending that kind of money for the product we are churning out. No more, I'm done. Someone else can have my seats and suffer the misery. We are just a middle of the pack team with the hope of an occasional win over some big team.

Balance of schedule
I have watched each team on the rest of our schedule and we will probably only be favored in two of them. Look for a four win season. Not looking forward to it.

Just want to say thanks to all the Hokie faithful here today. What a great crowd.. We came back and made a game of it but made too many mistakes to win. We have to do better. Let me show you this used Cadillac I have. It's a real Teddy Bear.

Poor ball movement
Without a doubt, this is the worse offensive team I have ever seen. Twice, well inside the 20 and we have to kick two field goals. Totally unbelievable.

One year coaches VS Pry
Syracuse and Boston College both have first year coaches. They seem to have gotten these programs pointed in the right direction. Both teams look physical, hungry and playing dominant football. Pry is in his third year and still searching for that dominant factor. Why is that the case? Tech seems to be like Moses wandering around in the wilderness. Iâm just sick of this feeling, year after year.

No foul calls on Clark......
Clark is a great player, but she got away with murder last night. No calls on fouls. Several times she was pushing off on our players and once a hard elbow into Wenzel's side. Wenzel had to come out of the game after that. These no foul calls made a difference in the game.

The only reality check is this team is bad.
With the product we are putting on the field, there is about a 90% chance of loosing the next three games. Pry has a big job to do on the roster and his assistant coaches. Currently both are subpar.

Terrible game.......
Except for our kicking game, this was rather embarrassing game. Being kind, I'm giving this team a grade of "D" for that game yesterday. Unless a miracle happens, this team has no chance of winning 2 of the next 3 games. I'm a long time Hokie fan and supporter, but this team is just not very good. Looking forward and hoping for better days.

Maybe not another win.
Until the defense learns how to stop getting gashed do we have a chance at victory. Every game there are a couple of plays that go 50 to 80 yards without anyone touching the ball carrier. They are big momentum changers and depressing.

I don't understand. Several times this season we've made great plays and right away we turn around and let a long score against us. Totally disgusting and demoralizing.
