Virginia Tech will be the #6 seed in this week’s ACC Tournament. The tournament will be held at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC. The action tips off on Tuesday afternoon, but the Hokies will not play until Wednesday night at approximately 9:30pm.
As a result of their five-game winning streak to end the season, as well as timely losses by Syracuse and Pitt, Tech will play as the #6 seed, which means they’ll face the winner of the #11 Florida State/#14 Boston College matchup. That game will be played on Tuesday at approximately 2:30pm, and the winner will face Tech on Wednesday night.
If the Hokies win that game, they’ll get a rematch with #3 seed Miami in the quarterfinals. The Hurricanes beat the Hokies by 16 in Miami, while Tech returned the favor by knocking off the Canes by 15 in Blacksburg over the weekend. A trip to the semifinals would mean a matchup with #2 UVA, #7 Clemson or #10 Georgia Tech.

Overall, the Hokies went 6-2 against teams on their side of the bracket, while they went 4-5 against teams on the other side of the bracket. Louisville, who beat the Hokies 91-83 in Cassell Coliseum, will not take part in the ACC Tournament because of self-imposed sanctions.
