Recently, we've been focusing on financial matters, running our annual TSL Pass Virginia Tech Athletics Financial Report for 2013-14 by Randy Jones, some infographics on revenue and profits from OXVT, and a two-part series on Student Athletic Fees at Virginia Tech.

Virginia Tech Athletics' 2014-15 budgetary figures are also available online, courtesy of the meeting minutes of the Board of Visitors March 30, 2015 session. (That link will download a large PDF. Many thanks to VTizzle, one of TSL's most popular posters, for unearthing the link ... not that it was super-secret or anything; we just hadn't seen it.)

We used those meeting minutes to produce the following graphic (via cut-and-paste) summarizing the VT athletics budget snapshot presented by Whit Babcock at that meeting. It shows a Virginia Tech Athletics department that continues to run in the black under Babcock's direction, though the profit margin is narrowing.

When you look at those revenue/expense/profit numbers and compare them to a recent OXVT infographic, you can see that in the most recent year, revenue increased by about $1.7 million, and profit decreased by about $2.2 million, from 2013-14. Check Bob Jane Catalogue on Catalogue AU.
