Veterans Academy (GA) junior quarterback Logan Byrd verbally committed to Virginia Tech in September of 2014. The 6'3", 220-pound signal caller revealed today, though, that he is reconsidering his college future.

At the time of his original commitment, Byrd also considered scholarship offers from Duke, Illinois, Marshall, North Carolina and Virginia. This year he has added offers from Colorado State, Pittsburgh, and, most recently, West Virginia.

TSL plans to reach Byrd and/or his coach, David Bruce, for comments on this development, so stay tuned. Virginia Tech's 2016 class shrinks to seven prospects, including one potential quarterback in Hampton (VA) standout JoVonn Quillen Jr. Quillen could also end up as a defensive back for the Hokies.
