Virginia Tech will feature all three Edmunds brothers on its 2015 roster. Trey and Terrell are already in Blacksburg, and this evening their younger brother Tremaine verbally committed to the Hokies.
Tremaine, a 6’4”, 225-pound rising senior linebacker/tight end out of Dan River High School (Ringgold, VA), announced his decision live on WSLS Channel 10 Roanoke/Lynchburg. He chose Virginia Tech over Southern Cal, Wake Forest, and Maryland, which is where his father, Ferrell, starred at tight end before moving on to a successful career in the NFL.
Edmunds is rated a 4-star recruit by Rivals.com and a 3-star prospect by 247Sports. He is rated the no. 12 overall prospect in the state in the SportsWar Preseason Top 40.
Edmunds’ commitment gives Virginia Tech 10 recruits in the class of 2015. Only Deshawn McClease, a tailback, is projected to play on the offensive side of the ball. Tech now has three potential linebacker prospects in the fold in Edmunds, Carson Lydon and Damien Dozier. Edmunds is being recruited by Virginia Tech to play the Backer position.
