According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, Georgia Perimeter power forward Shane Henry has made a verbal commitment to Virginia Tech.

Henry chose the Hokies over Texas Tech. The JUCO transfer will be eligible immediately, and he has three years to play two. His commitment fills a major void at the power forward position, as has been discussed often in TSL Pass articles.
Henry averaged 13.2 points and 12.5 rebounds this past season. He led the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Associate in rebounds and blocks (4.7 per game, with the second place finisher averaging 2.6 per game). He was named First Team All-GCAA, and he was also the GCAA Defensive Player of the Year.
With Henry's commitment, the Hokies have added depth to the power foward position. Senior C.J. Barksdale is eligible to return, as is walk-on Christian Beyer. However, remember that there could always be more attrition over the summer, and the Hokies might not necessarily be done with recruiting for this class.
