Virginia Tech's final home game of the season against Maryland will kick off at 12:30pm, and the game will be televised by The ACC Network.
Maryland, which has suffered through some tough injuries recently at the wide receiver position, is 5-3 overall and 1-3 in the ACC. The Hokies will either be 7-3 (4-2 ACC) or 6-4 (3-3), pending the result of this weekend's Miami game. The Terps play Syracuse this weekend.
Barksdale suspended
In other news, junior power forward C.J. Barksdale has been suspended for the first three games of the season for the dreaded "violation of team rules". Barksdale started 30 games for the Hokies last season, averaging 5.6 points and 4.7 points per game. His absence means that sophomore Marshall Wood will likely get the starting nod.
Barksdale will miss the following games...
Saturday, November 9: USC Upstate
Tuesday, November 12: West Virginia (ESPN, 1pm)
Friday, November 15: Western Carolina
