Virginia Tech will hold two open scrimmages during the month of August. It will be the only chance for fans to catch the Hokies live before the season opener against Alabama on August 31.

August 10: Media day, Open Scrimmage in Lane Stadium, 7pm
August 11: Welcome Back Picnic
August 17: Open Scrimmage in Lane Stadium, 7pm
August 24: Closed Scrimmage
August 25: Game week preparations begin for Alabama
In the past, fans are required to sit in the West Stands for open scrimmages, and that will likely continue this year.
