The folks that hand out college football's season ending awards have begun releasing their preseason watch lists, and several Hokies made the cut.
Logan Thomas : Tech's r-junior quarterback made the Maxwell Award watch list. The Maxwell is given each year to the nation's best overall player. James Gayle , Bruce Taylor and Kyle Fuller : This trio of defensive stars made the watch list for the Bednarik Award, which is awarded each year to the best defensive player in the country. Andrew Miller : The r-junior center is on the watch list for the Rimington Trophy, given to the nation's top center.Virginia Tech has had four major national award winners in the past.
