Hokie Nation needs some good news, and they got it today, when defensive tackle Ricky Walker tweeted that he will return for the 2018 season.

Walker will be a redshirt senior in 2018. He was part of a productive tandem of defensive tackles, along with Tim Settle. Walker was Virginia Tech's seventh-leading tackler with 41 stops (19 solo, 22 assisted), and he tied with Settle for second on the defense with 12.5 tackles for loss (TFL). Walker was also second with 4.5 sacks and 6 QB hurries.
